Remove the pattern pieces and staystitch the waistline and any curved seamlines. |

Stabilize the centerfront edges with fusible stay tape on the fabric wrong side. Also fuse the tape over the shoulder and armhole seamlines. |

Beginning in the quilt center, machine stitch in the ditch along all vertical seamlines. |

After all the measurements are transferred to the pattern, use a French curve to connect the marks for the new seamlines. |

If the seamlines of the facing and garment don't match, don't force them. |
