A path descends north from this bealach and snakes over rough ground to a rocky basin, passing between two small lochans. |
From the bealach we climbed up through some trees to a rocky knoll from where another path eventually zig-zagged its way to the grassy summit. |
We dutifully climbed to the summit then retraced our steps back down the ridge to the bealach that separated the two Munros. |
Just short of the summit of the bealach climb the broken and craggy slopes west to a ridge high above the Garbh Coire of Ben Alder. |
Towards the western end of the ramparts there is an obvious break where a path leads through rocky portals to gain a grassy bealach. |
A fairly well-used path runs up alongside the Allt Coire an Dothaidh although higher up it becomes faint, and the final few hundred metres to the bealach steepen considerably. |
I crossed the burn by the shoogly bridge again, before following the excellent path leading up to the Bealach Beithe. |
A big drop followed, down over rough rock and scree to the Bealach an Fhuarian from where a great greyish-white buttress reared alarmingly. |
Once the Bealach Gaothach is reached, below Kilbride Hill, look for a gap in the forest boundary below. |
