Hi, I'm Anthony, I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, and a minor in Statistics. I enjoy math, if you couldn't already tell. To me, math problems are like puzzles that need to be solved. I understand some people don't like puzzles and that's why I'm here, to help guide you in how to solve the puzzle(equations probably). I also understand that there are many different ways to solve the same puzzle just like there are many ways to solve the same equation but some more efficient than others. My approach with students is to help with problems they are struggling in class with and then provide further knowledge on the subject to prepare for the next steps in the course.
I have a year of tutoring experience for a mathematics tutoring company with students ranging from 3rd grade to high school students and topics would include simple arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and SAT test prep. With this experience I have learned that some students prefer the correct method to be given as soon as they get an answer wrong and others would rather give the problem a few more tries before the solution is given, both are perfectly fine to me as long they practice more afterwards to retain the information.
Feel free to contact me with any further questions, I'm here to help!
