Ape, Vespa, Lucciola e Grillo vennero equipaggiate con motori FIAT M 407 forniti direttamente dalla FIAT, mentre per Calabrone, Cavalletta, Libellula, Crisalide e Farfalla vennero ordinati motori M 407 pero' costruiti dall'Ansaldo, ma sembra che a causa delle vicende armistiziali i motori Ansaldo per Crisalide e Farfalla non vennero consegnati.
Ape, Vespa, Lucciola and Grillo were equipped with FIAT M 407 engines supplied directly by FIAT, while for Calabrone, Cavalletta, Dragonfly, Chrysalis and Butterfly were ordered motors M 407 but built by Ansaldo, but it seems that due to the events of the armistice the Ansaldo for Chrysalis and Butterfly engines were not delivered.
