Curiously, Gurmukhi is the original script of the Punjabi language which is spoken by nearly 7 crore people of Western Punjab, the most dominant province of Pakistan.
Sindhi, for instance, is written in a Persianized form of Arabic script, but it also is sometimes written in the Devanagari or Gurmukhi scripts.
Gurmukhi is not only used by Sikhs but by Hindus as well as Muslims living in Punjab to represent their common spoken language, Punjabi.
The languages on offer include Malyalam, Gujarati, Hindi, Gurmukhi, Tamil and Bengali.
English is my main language of preference although I can speak Punjabi and read Gurmukhi.
