The Eddic poems are not the only versions in Old Norse literature.
This volume provides an introductory survey of the last generation of scholarship on the corpus of eddic mythological poetry.
A good number of other poems in the eddic style are recorded elsewhere, very often inserted into prose narratives dealing with the exploits of legendary heroes.
